I'm ready to order my DVD, what do I do now?

 Ordering is easier than you may think!! 

  1. Gather up to 30 of your favorite photos of you and/or your pet.
  2. Scan/save your photos to a blank CD or prepare your hard copy pictures for shipping.
  3. Select your favorite song or songs to go with your pictures.  Click here for some suggestion
  4. Fill out the online order form by clicking here.
  5. Mail/email your materials to us.

How do I send my pictures to you?

Many clients prefer to scan their own photos or have them scanned at a local photo lab (CVS allows you to scan up to 200 photos for around $4), to avoid having to send their pictures through the mail. We accept photos in .jpg, .jpeg or .bmp format. Giving us digital photographs is often more convenient and will accelerate the design of your video album.  If you wish to email your digital photos to us, please send them to sales@furrypetmemories.com and put your name and order # in the email Subject line.  See our How to Order page for detailed submitting instructions.

What sort of photo touch-up do you do?

Photo touch-up is included in the price of your video, whether or not we scan your photos or you scan them and send them to us.  Before creating your DVD video, we make every effort to adjust the colors, light intensity, contrast, etc.  We will do this on all photos, no matter how we receive them (digital photos, actual photographs).  We can brighten dark photos, detail blurred images, and correct over-exposed shots.  No matter the condition or quality of your old photos, we will do everything possible to bring them back to life!

I don't want to scan my own pictures.  How much does it cost for you to do it?

If you do not have a scanner, we will be happy to scan your photographs for you.  We will professionally touch-up all photos to the best we are able to and provide you with a digital library on CD of all scanned photos.  There is an additional flat rate charge of $15.00 per order for this service.

How do I send my music selections to you?

Once you have selected your music choices, you will submit your selections to us during the ordering process.

I've chosen a copy written song to use in my video, is this ok?

You can be almost certain that all music is copyrighted. In order for us to use copy-written music in your video album, each song must be purchased either on original CD or via ITunes, Napster or Yahoo Music.  We of course, will do this for you and keep all records on file.  By submitting an order form and agreeing to our terms of service, our customers agree that they acknowledge and accept use of all music used in their video. Under copyright law, customers may then display their video album for personal family and friends.  Mass production of a video album is strictly prohibited without purchasing the additional copyright licensing per song used.

What exactly are you doing with my pictures and music?

We will create a "high tech slide show" that brings your snapshots to life on DVD using high quality transitions, carefully synchronized with your favorite music. Furry Pet Memories produces video albums using a high quality scanner and cutting edge software.  You will marvel at how emotional your video will be. If you mailed pictures to us, they will be returned to you when your DVD video ships.

I'm ordering the Deluxe Memorial Video and need to send a video clip to you.  How do I do this?

At this time, we can only accept short video files, created on a digital camera.  The file can be no larger than 5MB.  Once you have placed your order, simply email the video file to sales@furrypetmemories.com and be sure to include your name and order # in the email Subject line.  It is recommended (but not required) that you compress your video file using WinZip prior to emailing it to us.

I've placed my order, how long will it take?

Once everything has been received, our production time is approximately 5 business days.  You will receive 2 order status email messages, one when we receive your materials and a second email when we ship your final product.  If you need your DVD sooner, rush processing is available.  Please see below.

What if I need my DVD in less than a week?

Don't worry, we can accommodate you.  Rush orders can be completed in as little as 3 business days (excluding shipping time).  The charge for this service is $20 and includes shipment via USPS Priority Mail.

How much are the shipping charges?

The customer is responsible for all shipping charges if they need to mail us their materials.  Shipping of the customer's materials back to them along with their new DVD movie is free of charge.  We ship via USPS Priority Mail.  Transit time is 2-3 days.  You will be provided with a tracking number and every shipment will be fully insured up to the value of your order.  If you wish to order additional copies of your video, a $4.00 shipping surcharge per copy will apply.  If you require your video within 1 week, expedited shipping charges will apply.  See order form for details.

Can I order additional copies of my DVD?

Yes.  Additional copies can be ordered for $6.00 each and includes the full DVD cover & label you receive with your original copy.  In addition, a $4.00 shipping fee applies to each additional copy ordered.  We also keep your video archived for 1 year from date of purchase if you wish to order additional copies at a later date.

What types of payment methods do you accept?

We accept VISA, MASTERCARD, DISCOVER, personal checks, money orders and payments through PayPal.  If you pay by personal check or money order, we cannot begin work on your video until we receive the check or money order and it clears our bank account.  If you will be paying by personal check, please notify us in advance.

Will my DVD play in my DVD player?

Nearly all of the DVD players currently on the market support our DVD format. If you purchased your player in the last 5 years, you should have no problem playing your DVD. If you receive your DVD and it does not work with your player, simply return the DVD to us, and we'll exchange it for a VHS copy.

Can I choose a different DVD disk & cover design, other than what's offered?

At this time, we do not offer any DVD disk & cover design choices.  However, if you have certain pictures you would like us to use on the disk label and cover, please feel free to specify this when you are numbering your pictures, either on the image itself or on the sticky note.

Can I get reprints of the photos you scanned for me?

Absolutely!  We will send you a CD with your corrected photographs! You can then take the CD to any photo lab and have reprints made in any size. These photos can also be viewed, edited, and printed on your home computer.

I'm uneasy about ordering over the internet, what should I do?

We certainly understand your concern.  We want to be there to help you in any way we can and make you feel comfortable with working with us.  Our order form is fully secure & security-protected to ensure no personal and confidential information is not easily accessible by "snooping eyes."  One way to know your shopping experience is safe, look for the "https://" URL prefix in the internet address bar at the top of your browser while you are viewing any page that requires credit card or other personal information.  Your privacy is of the utmost importance to us and we will not sell or trade your information to anyone.

Can I deduct the $10.00 you donate in my pet's name on my behalf, on my taxes?

Furry Pet Memories makes the donation on your behalf, in your pet's name, directly to the non-profit organization, The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA).  You wil receive an email confirmation once the donation is processed. Since we are not a non-profit organization, you cannot deduct the $10.00 as a charitable contribution.  You can however, make a contribution through our website and that contribution is 100% tax deductible by you.  Please visit our Home page for the link to the ASPCA.
